Statement of Faith

1. The Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is the standard by which all human conduct and creeds will be tried.

2. The Trinity
We believe our God is One, but manifested in three Persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Phil. 2:6; Matt. 3:16,17; 1 John 5:7 )
a. God the Father – We believe in God the Father, infinite, personal and perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully with the affairs of people, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through faith in Jesus Christ.
b. Jesus Christ – We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only eternal begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teachings. We believe in His subsitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, continuous intercession for His people and personal, visible return to earth.
c. Holy Spirit – We believe in the Holy Spirit who was and is sent by the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is the abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide.

3. Regeneration
Humanity was created in God’s image but because of Adam’s fall is now sinful. We sin by deliberate choice. We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who truly believe and trust in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood; and that justification includes the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life, obtained on no other grounds but by faith on the sinners part. We further believe that those who receive, by faith, the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior are “born again” and thereby become children of God, indwelt by the Holy Spirit as the seal of their salvation; and proper evidence thereof is a holy life manifesting the fruits of righteousness.
(I Corinthians 15:1-4; Ephesians 1:13,14; 2:8-10 ; Romans 3:23 -29; 20:20 ,21 ; John 1:12; 3:3 )

4. Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift from God as promised to all the believers by the Lord Jesus Christ, frequently featured in the book of Acts, and for the purpose of “being witnesses of Jesus to the ends of the earth.”

5. The Church
We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. The church is manifested visibly in the local body of believers who covenant together for worship, observing the ordinances and evangelize.

Our Mission
Through Biblical teaching and preaching we will:

…exalt Jesus Christ our only hope of salvation (John 14:6) and be more Christ-like in everyday life (2 Cor. 3:18 ).

…edify (up build), and equip the people of God! (Eph. 4:11,12).

…and evangelize the world.

The Great Commandment:
"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' [This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' Matthew 22:36-39

The Great Commission:
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. Matthew 28:19-20
